Rotunda Museum

The Rotunda Museum in Scarborough was designed to convey William Smith’s theory; that rocks could be ordered according to the fossils they contain.

Geology Now has brought the Rotunda Museum up to the 21st century, using multimedia to present current geological and environmental research. Visitors are able to explore the maps that Smith developed and view 3D flyovers of them using interactive video.
